04 · ZERO-DEFECT QUALITY GATES

Three non-negotiable inspection gates

Every batch clears 3 gates before packaging, with zero tolerance for unapproved spec drift.

GATE 01: Pre-Production Audit

Verifies physical inputs and tooling precision before mass assembly.

Pass Gate to Proceed
Spectrophotometer Color Lock

Pantone verification under D65 standard daylight; ΔE tolerance strictly capped below 0.8.

Chemical & Safety Screening

Lead, phthalates, and AZO dye spot-checks; EN71 Part 3 / ASTM F963 lab certification arranged on request.

T1/T2 Mold Validation

Caliper dimensional inspection to guarantee mold parting lines and shrinkage under ±0.03mm.

Golden Master Sealed Sample

One physical unit signed and counter-sealed by Takara and client for on-site line matching.

GATE 02: In-Line Process QC

Station-by-station inspections throughout the production run.

Hourly Station Checks
70N Seam & Joint Pull Testing

Mechanical tensile force pull test on all seams and joints to prevent choking hazards.

Surface & Paint Adhesion Rub Test

50-cycle alcohol and friction rub test verifying silkscreen and tampo print durability.

Hourly Station Defect Log

Real-time logging of cosmetic flaws; any station exceeding 0.5% defect triggers retooling.

Inline Structural Verification

Multi-point structural verification, seam/joint strength audits, and safety compliance screening.

GATE 03: Final Random Audit (FRI)

Full audit once production is finished and at least 80% is packed.

ISO 2859-1 Standard
ISO 2859-1 / ANSI Sampling

Standard Level II statistical sampling with AQL 0 Critical / 2.5 Major / 4.0 Minor defect thresholds.

ISTA 1A Carton Drop Test

10-point package drop testing on corner, edge, and face surfaces minimizing transit damage risk.

Barcode & Retail Packaging Check

100% optical readability verification for UPC/EAN retail barcodes and GS1 compliance.

Third-Party Inspection Support

Full facility access and hosting for client-appointed inspectors (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek).

07 · EXECUTION MANDATE

Frequently asked questions

A 6-stage coordination chain, 3 zero-defect quality gates, and transparent commercial commitments.

What is the typical production timeline from concept to delivery?

The standardized B2B production timeline is 55 days: 3 days for design and material specs, 7 days for physical prototyping, 15 days for mold development and T-sample tuning, 20 days for mass line production, 3 days for AQL 2.5 quality control, and 7 days for final palletizing and export release.

How does Takara protect intellectual property and mold tooling?

All production runs under binding bilateral NDAs. Steel molds are registered with unique asset serial numbers and stored in locked tool rooms at partner facilities. Production counts are reconciled with raw material consumption logs to prevent unauthorized overrun copies.

What does AQL 2.5 mean in practice for our order?

AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) 2.5 is the international statistical standard (ISO 2859-1 Level II). For a 10,000-unit batch, 315 units are randomly inspected. If major cosmetic or dimensional defects exceed 14 units, the entire batch is halted, reworked, and re-inspected at the factory’s cost before container sealing.

Can we appoint our own third-party inspection agency (SGS, Bureau Veritas)?

Yes. Takara fully accommodates third-party QA inspectors appointed by clients. We provide on-site inspection stations, calibrated test equipment, golden sample comparisons, and full defect reporting logs.

What are your minimum order quantities (MOQ)?

MOQ varies by manufacturing category: 100 units for PU resin art figures, 1,000 units for plush toys and corporate gift bundles, 3,000 units for injection-molded plastic and rotocast vinyl, and 500 units for enamel pins and metal merchandise.
