The Takara mascot

Mira.

Keeper of ideas that haven’t hatched yet.

Mira, a teal baby dragon, holding Koko the little yellow egg

Chief Idea Officer

Fifteen seconds with Mira.

Every product starts as an idea no one else can see yet. Mira is the first to see it, and she holds on tight until it’s ready to hatch.

A closer look

Every detail has a reason.

Why water

Most dragons breathe fire.Mira doesn’t.

Fire

  • Forceful.
  • Hurried.
  • Burns what it touches.

Water

  • Patient.
  • Clear.
  • Takes the shape it’s given.

A new idea needs patience more than force. So Mira is a water dragon.

Where the name comes from

The name came before the dragon.

  1. 2013

Takara starts as a small e-commerce team in Ho Chi Minh City, running two sites: Takara.vn and Mirako.vn, home to Takara’s own brand.

  2. 2016

Takara takes on the Pokémon license. Under the Mirako brand, the range reaches 230+ retail doors, from Ministop to Aeon Mall.

  3. Today

Mira, Takara’s mascot, carries part of that name forward.

Mira + Koko

Put them together, and you get a little miracle.

Mira + Koko = Mirako

Say it fast. It sounds like miracle.

mi·ra·ko/mi · ra · ko/noun
  1. Mira and Koko, together: the one who keeps the idea, and the idea itself.
  2. The moment an idea you could only describe becomes something you can hold.
  3. (informal) What you might whisper when the first sample lands on your desk.

Around the site

Where you’ll run into Mira.

Mira shows up sparingly, only where a little warmth helps.

Why black and white

Around the site, Mira and Koko go halftone.

  1. 1
    One story, start to finish.

Wherever Mira shows up to guide you, from the brand film to the dashboard to the case studies, she is drawn the same way: black-and-white halftone dots. Every appearance reads as the next chapter of one story, not a new sticker.

  2. 2
    The content stays the star.

Colour is saved for what you came to see: the products, photos and details. A quiet, monochrome Mira points the way without competing for your attention.

Do

  • Keep Koko with Mira, in her hands or on her head.
  • Keep her round and soft, with no sharp edges.
  • Use expressions from the official sticker set.

Don’t

  • Give Mira fire, fangs or a fighting pose.
  • Stretch, squash or distort her proportions.
  • Recolor her in neon or change her frills.

Every idea deserves a Mira.
